I designed this little garlic grater texture tool for those of you who love to play with form, function and decoration in clay. It can be used to create beautiful patterns and details, and after firing the surface also functions as a practical grater for garlic, ginger or citrus peel. It is one of the tools I always reach for in the workshop – and I hope you will enjoy it just as much.

Each tool is 3D printed in my own workshop in high-quality PLA filament. This makes them both light, strong and precise in detail. On both sides you will find my logo: a small signature so you can always find your way back to my website.

You can choose from many different ones, or buy a complete package (which you can find on my page). Each variant gives its own unique expression – from fine dots to clear ribs and circular handles. They can be used for much more than garlic:
    • Give handles and lids a better surface to hold on to
    • Create decorative patterns on mugs, plates and soap dishes
    • Create repeating textures in plates and coasters
    • Use the surface for practical cooking after burning (e.g. garlic, ginger, nutmeg or lemon zest)
    • Mold the clay and transfer patterns to paper or fabric

The shape fits well in the hand and makes it easy to press evenly.

All tools are 3D printed to order in my workshop. This means that I only start the printer when you place your order. This way I avoid waste and you get a brand new tool in the color and variant you have chosen.

Soap: low structure in handmade soap bars or soap dishes
Paper: trace patterns onto wet or damp paper for a decorative touch
Leather: print patterns in soft leather for small accessories
Air-drying clay: e.g. DAS or other hobby clays
Fimo / polymer clay: for jewelry, charms and small figurines
Fondant/sugar paste: embossing cakes and decorations (if you use cellophane in between, as PLA is not food grade)
Textile: use the stamp in clay and transfer the pattern with ink to fabric
